Help Build the Weft Wright Loom Library
A living compendium of weaving loom knowledge.
Community-powered. Expert-curated. Freely shared.
I'm building something I've wished existed for years: a place where the practical knowledge of weaving looms is organized, preserved, and shared.
Manufacturers do a wonderful job documenting specifications. But some of the most valuable information about a loom only comes from living with it. How difficult is the tie-up? Is the treadling comfortable after several hours? Can one person move it? Is there a trick to getting a better shed? What do you wish someone had told you before you bought it?
Before I decide what information belongs in the Loom Library, I'd like to learn from the weaving community.
This isn't a survey about your specific loom. It's a chance to help shape what the Loom Library will become. Your ideas will help determine what questions we ask, what measurements we collect, and what knowledge we preserve for future generations of weavers.
Whether you've woven for fifty years or just bought your first loom, your experience matters.
Thank you for helping build something that will serve the weaving community for years to come.
