There is no need to have a reed for every sett, that would be expensive and unnecessary. There are many charts online that show you how to substitute one reed for another, but this one is so easy because you simply enter the set you want to achieve and it does all the calculating for you.
This calculator is designed to give you the maximum options, do not be overwhelmed, simply use, whichever reed you have.
The sleying patterns are easy to follow. For instance, “Pattern 1-1-2” means that as you are sleying you put one end in the first two dents and 3 in the next then repeat.
Uneven dentings correct themselves after proper wet finishing, do not be alarmed if there are visible spacing lines showing up while you are weaving
